Across the country folks are getting ready to take a break. Labor Day is the holiday to celebrate the worker, the employee, the average person, doing their thing to make a living and make this country run. This weekend we get an extra day to relax and be with friends and family. Let’s have some fun, and food, and make the most of the three day weekend!
Stock up on party ware like an all purpose plastic wine glass that can serve anything from soda to these delicious watermelon margarita’s. To go with your icy beverages I have put together a nice little recipe selection for you (now someone just needs to invite me to their party, hint hint)
Grilled turkey sliders with tomato jam
and my favorite:
Doesn’t that sound yummy? Yes, I know it does! Serve it up on our paper plates, lay out some plastic flatware and paper napkins and your set. Remember to keep it clean and fight the germs that can ruin your good time with hand sanitizer that you can take with you, like these sanitizing wipes from Gojo! Now that I have given you all these lovely tips, I am sure to get invited to the barbecue, eh?
As we get set for our long weekend and the close of summer, give a nod to the Unions and Labor Movement that made this day off possible.
All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
Enjoy!
