‘Tis the season for entertaining and being entertained! As a new year rapidly approaches, another year comes to an end. We’re socializing more than ever so in keeping with the spirit of this holiday season I’ve assembled a collection of adult beverage recipes that feature: Eclectic Cocktails, Creamy Concoctions and Lovely Libations. Please note to ensure full delectable delectation add dashes of flair where ever possible and remember to pour generously.

Champagne is the international party starter. Add fresh red fruit (pomegranate , cranberries, raspberries) to the flutes prior to pouring and you’ll ‘bounce up the bubbly!’

You’ve been hearing a lot about the Latin-inspired USA made beverage RumChata so I’ve included this Latte recipe that I promise will warm-up both body and soul. In a mug add equal parts of RumChata and warmed milk. Foam together with a frothing wand or if you have one, an espresso machine. Colorful sprinkles or dark chocolate shavings for toppers provide additional Holiday cheer. TIP: For additional pick-me-up add espresso shots.
Gingerbread Martini anyone? 1 oz Vodka 1/2 oz. Kahlua 1/2 oz. Irish Cream 1/2 oz. gingerbread syrup 1 oz. milk TIP: use almond milk for a nuttier flavor! Mix all ingredient in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a Martini glass rimmed with graham cracker crumbs. Top with whipped cream.
Here’s my family recipe for Spanish eggnog “Coquito”. At medium speed in a blender combine: 1 can evaporated milk,1 can coco lopez,1 can condensed milk,8 egg yolks,1/2tsp cinnamon,2 tsp pure vanilla extract,a dash of salt, white rum* or vodka* (*as much as you want) mix until frothy! Keep refrigerated until ready to serve in well-chilled Margarita glasses add a stick of cinnamon as festive garnish.or sprinkle more cinnamon or use cocoa powder. TIP: Cold is key so chill all ingredients before blending and remember to store vodka in the freezer (Vodka’s consistency and flavor are best a zero degrees or colder!)
Humor your guests and serve ‘layered shooters’ in ‘Libbey Pisa glass‘. These mini-glasses lean, giving a unique,mind-bending illusion. TIP: Gold schlager cinnamon schnapps, sour green apple schnapps & grenadine are colorful, easy to layer, and when combined taste amazing!
Finally, the all-American classic Bourbon! Served at room temperature or ‘on-the-rocks’ in a wide-mouthed Old Fashioned glass you decide if it’s a single or double-shot kind of Christmas. TIP: For added enjoyment wear a Santa Hat while sipping and swirling this warming brown elixir.

Can’t decide on a favorite or just want it all? Hot- and-cold-drink-friendly Espresso glasses paired with tasting paddles (for easy carrying) are the answer! Mix batches of drinks, arrange a table with garnishes it’s a “DIY Holiday Cocktail Buffet.”
